The three 25,000 square foot bulk handling bays have the capability to house 150 bulk tanks, ranging from 5,500 gallon to 14,000 gallon sizes, with a potential total capacity of 1,800,000 gallons. TANK SPECIFICATIONS • 304L Stainless Steel • Dedicated pipes & pumps • 8" Explosion vents and 2" conservation pipes piped through the ceiling Each tank has a dedicated line with two locks, one at the main valve and one at the header by the truck scale. Hoses and headers are labeled appropriately, with a supervisor verifying all movement of product to eliminate any cross-contamination. Bulk product movement begins on the two outside 80’ scales where each tanker is scaled in and proceeds to load or unload via dedicated lines directly to an individual stainless steel pipe connection inside the facility. A dike containment area is located at the scale and portable containment units under the tankers are used in case of the unlikely event of a spill. Interior concrete curbing on exterior walls and bay walls provides containment in all bays of the facility. The three bulk bays alone have a containment capacity of approximately 575,000 gallons. The floors and curbs in all bays are constructed of a specially formulated, dense concrete with the least allowable permeability with a Sikka® floor sealant finish.
